Musique à La Prée festival: listening guides to French music

May 7
1 min read

From May 22 to 25, 2026, the Musique à La Prée festival, under the artistic direction of Hortense Cartier-Bresson, dedicates its edition to French music, at the abbey of La Prée (Ségry, Indre).

Yves Balmer presents the concerts and leads the listening sessions, with three analyses at the heart of the weekend: Ravel's Trio in A minor, Franck's Quintet in F minor and Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time.

Four days to traverse a century of French chamber music, from Franck to Messiaen, via Fauré, Debussy, Ravel, Poulenc, Chausson and Saint-Saëns, with an unprecedented place given to singing and harp.

With the Hermès Quartet, Pierre Fouchenneret, Mayuko Yasuda, Fleur Grüneissen, Lilian Lefebvre, Aliénor Mancip, Romain Descharmes, Gabriel Durliat, Ayaka Matsuda and Hortense Cartier-Bresson.

La Prée Abbey, 36100 Ségry
